XRP Ledger Takes Center Stage in Tokenized Finance at Apex 2025
Institutional momentum surged at Apex 2025, Ripple’s flagship summit, revealing XRP Ledger’s (XRPL) growing role in global finance with stablecoins, tokenized treasuries, and compliance features. Held June 10-12, the event gathered builders, researchers, and financial leaders to showcase XRPL’s 13-year journey and institutional adoption.

Ripple CTO David Schwartz and Ripplex Head of Product Jazzi Cooper highlighted XRPL’s shift toward tokenized assets and stablecoins. HSBC’s Zhu Kuang Lee and Ripple’s Fiona Murray discussed HSBC’s blockchain integration for asset tokenization and institutional custody. Ripple President Monica Long, CEO Brad Garlinghouse, and Pat Patel from Global Finance & Technology Network explored global regulations, noting Asia-Pacific’s leadership in blockchain growth.
Key announcements reflected XRPL’s institutional pivot. Ondo Finance’s tokenized U.S. Treasuries (OUSG) launched with RLUSD settlement. A stablecoin panel with Hidden Road’s Michael Higgins and Bitstamp by Robinhood’s Leonard Hoh examined RLUSD’s global applications. The addition of USDC, EURØP, XSGD, RLUSD, and USDB expanded liquidity and compliance. Guggenheim Treasury Services and Zeconomy introduced digital commercial paper (DCP) rated Prime-1 by Moody’s, strengthening XRPL’s real-world asset offerings.
UBRI Connect, held alongside Apex, convened 160+ academic leaders at the National University of Singapore. A 36-hour hackathon saw student teams lead XRPL Mainnet deployments, showcasing the next generation’s blockchain innovation. With advanced compliance and programmability, XRPL is positioning itself at the core of tokenized finance.
