Ubisoft Partners With Immutable on Blockchain-Integrated Mobile Game

Ubisoft, known for franchises like “Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six,” “Assassin’s Creed,” “Far Cry,” “Prince of Persia,” and “Rayman,” aims to leverage Immutable’s expertise in strategy card games and blockchain technology for the project. The collaboration seeks to modernize the iconic “Might and Magic” series, first launched in 1986, which boasts a dedicated global fanbase drawn to its deep lore and strategic gameplay.

The announcement notes that “Might and Magic Fates” will introduce new card types, factions, and mechanics, allowing players to earn rare cards, upgrades, and rewards through competitive play. The game will integrate Ubisoft Connect, the company’s player ecosystem with over 138 million users, with Immutable’s blockchain tools, including its non-custodial wallet, Immutable Passport, to streamline player onboarding.

The “Might and Magic” franchise has seen renewed interest following the 2023 mobile release “Era of Chaos.” Immutable, backed by investors like Bitkraft Ventures and Coinbase, noted it has signed over 500 games in 2025. The studio’s prior success with “Gods Unchained,” a digital trading card game, positions it as a key player in blockchain gaming innovation.

Last year, Ubisoft announced a collaboration with Double Jump.Tokyo to weave Web3 features into its games. Shortly afterward, it unveiled its first Web3 title, “Champions Tactics.” Developed and published by its Ubisoft Montreal division, the title drops players into head-to-head player-versus-player (PvP) tactical RPG showdowns. It harnesses blockchain technology via the Oasys network, a gaming-optimized proof-of-stake (PoS) blockchain. Each playable Champion exists as a non-fungible token (NFT) on the Oasys chain.
